things are gonna change...i can feel it...

by that I mean locale mostly. well, with that comes new places, new faces, new opportunities.

my agency acquired a local digital marketing agency and while our new, NEW office gets built, we're bunking with them. we moved from mission valley into downtown SD and I couldn't be happier. i didn't realize how much I missed a real city in oh, so long.

big buildings, big blocks, big personalities. BIG.

and I love it.

moving from the NJ/NY area to north county SD 5 years ago was a challenge. I grew up in a big city and moving to the burbs was, well, different. I acclimated and lost that yearning for city life.

today it was reawakened.

It's so great to be in downtown surrounded by options - stores, restaurants, entertainment. all. right. there.

I have a feeling it's going to be wonderful working in downtown and I'm honestly looking forward to it - although my commute still sucks.

which brings me to my next point.

moving closer to work. If I could, I'd move right into the city, but alas i'm not alone in this and my significant other, although also the product of the urban jungle, is not keen on returning. ha.

anyway. today was good. not only was it nice relocating to a new part of town, it was awesome walking into our new space to find out it was completely decked out and personalized for all of us. the nicest surprise was finding each of our offices contained framed photos sourced from social media - mine was of my mom, aunt and myself in Pszczyna, Poland last summer. just made it feel like home as soon as I stepped through the door.

today was a good day...

cheers!
